Hey All!
I know it's been forever since I've posted, I've been pretty overworked and underinspired lately. I'm finally done all my midterms, but my finals start in less than two weeks! Woah, what busy busy school! I haven't hung out with my friends too much lately, everyone's busy and stressed out, I can't wait until the next semester starts and we get some nice time to decompress with each other. By the way, I MISS YOU DIANNE! I never see her anymore, she's one busy chick, gotta respect that though, I wish I could be involved as much as she is, but I like rotting like a lump. On a positive note, some excellent CDs have come out since I last posted, so I'll talk about them. You all know how much I like talking about my music :). TLC's new CD came out last tuesday, I dragged Carrie to Best Buy so I could get it that Wednesday, and I must say, it does Left Eye's memory justice. As TLC's last album, it's awesome, it plays like a greatest hits album but consists of all new songs, because it draws on all their styles over the years. The best part of it is the positivity, its more of a reminder that Left Eye lives on than that she's gone. Best songs: "Damaged," and "Dirty Dirty." Its a fun album, pick it up if you like any of TLC's other albums. Also that week, Missy's album came out. I got a free copy from the Justice and I wrote a review on it, I must say, being a writer pays off :). The CD is great and has a lot of energy, the best song is the last track "Can Ya Hear Me?" Its dedicated to the memory of Aaliyah and Left Eye and features TLC. It's pretty sad. Rest in Peace A&L. For my review go to www.thejusticeonline.com and go to the arts section. I have some other less interesting articles there too, but check them out! And of course, we cannot forget the marvellous Bjork's new release, the "Family Tree" boxed set. It contains 5 3" cd plus a full length CD, and it rocks my world. I could listen to it forever. It has lots of B-sides, remixes, and live songs. Another great release from my favorite artist. Make sure to download "Generous Palmstroke" and the string versions of "Hunter" and "Bachelorette" with the Brodsky Quartet if you like Bjork (yeah, I know you don't). For my review also go to www.thejusticeonline.com . Also, I got a Garbage bootleg in the mail today, its called "Parade in France" and its recorded from their live concert in Lille last year. Its an awesome souvenir because its all the same song they played when I saw them at Avalon, plus "Androgyny" and "Milk," minus "Wild Horses," which I have a live version of on my Shut Your Mouth EP. It has a lot of energy, I love it. It's really fun when she speaks French, especially when she goes "les garcons, les filles" instead of "boys, girls" at the end of "Androgyny." If you like Garbage, I'll burn it for you and you'll LOVE it (that means you, Dena). That's music, in other news... Biology lab is OVER and I don't have to deal with my incompetent TA anymore, I hope I have a better TA next semester. I still have the annoying but helpful Shlomo as my student TA, but I won't have to deal with Jose. (Here's a hint: Jose is so incompetent that not only does he NEVER pass the labs back on time, but he has Taya grade my labs...hmmm, that sounds like a problem). So anyway, I've rambled some. I'll probably post again within 2 months. Later! Current Mood: Alright, dreading having to study for my Lab final Current Music: Parade in France - Garbage PS: Call me and see what's up with me! I can't wait to see everyone from home!
